What it does
Most “risk profile” questionnaires are decorative. They ask twelve multiple-choice questions, pick a label like “Moderate Aggressive,” and never reference the label again. Sthira’s suitability assessment is built differently.
The questionnaire is SEBI Investment Advisor-aligned and asks two distinct things: risk preference (how much loss would you tolerate emotionally?) and risk capacity (how much loss can your finances actually absorb?). A 28-year-old with no dependents has high capacity; a 45-year-old with two kids and a mortgage has lower capacity — even if both say “I’m fine with 20% drawdowns.”
Every recommendation Sthira makes references your profile and tells you which constraint is binding. You can re-take the assessment any time your life changes — and the history is preserved as part of the audit trail.
